"PONDERING PINOTS"
ERIC ASIMOV, THE NEW YORK TIMES, MARCH 10TH, 2009

"I wouldn’t call Rick Longoria’s wines light. They are sizeable, yet dry and well-shaped. I especially like his pinot noirs from his own Fe Ciega Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills, for their distinctive, dry, black cherry and sage flavors."

"THE FACES OF LOMPOC WINE"
GEORGIA FREEDMAN, SAVEUR MAGAZINE, ISSUE #118, MARCH 2009

"Rick Longoria could be called the accidental founding father of the Lompoc Wine Ghetto. "9 SANTA BARBARA COUNTY WINES YOU MUST TASTE IN 2009 (OR BEFORE YOU DIE)"
DENNIS SCHAEFER, SANTA BARBARA NEWS PRESS, JANUARY 1ST, 2009

2006 Longoria Blues Cuvée, Number Three Out of Nine
"Rick Longoria has been making this proprietary blended wine, with an emphasis on Cabernet Franc, since 1993. It has evolved over the years to become the best red wine he can make, showcasing his considerable blending skills. A fragrant nose of red cherry and spice gives way to red and blues fruits, sandalwood, herbs and vanilla. My wife (this wine is her fave) pulled out a 1996 Blues Cuvée last weekend to go with the balsamic and herb roasted pork loin. Superb! The Blues Cuvée ages fantastically well." -Dennis Schaefer
